Dull Knives are More Dangerous the Sharp Ones
So I cut myself today, with a dull knife. Luckily, it was just a shallow slice on the tip of the finger, nothing to bad. Seems odd I know, but it’s more common then one would think. See with a dull knife you have to put more force and effort into cutting something. Not only does it take more chops at whatever your hacking at but there’s more opportunity to mess up and cut yourself. That’s exactly what I did trying to slice a damn tomato of all things. It doesn’t help that I still own the same crappy knife set I’ve had since moving out on my own.
They’ve been in dishwashers, travel, and clanged around in drawers; basically all the things you’re not supposed to do with any knife. Needless to say it’s time to start searching for a new set here before lose a finger. Looking at kitchen knives review, there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of great brands out there. Leaning toward a wusthof set, they seem to be highly touted in online reviews such as these but Henckels is another option.
