As often as we have the chance, we like to show love to fellow Bushwickers who are on their Bushwick hustle.  I went to get my hair cut today and turns out my barber was a Electronic musician originally from Poland.  She told me about two projects she’s working on one being a collaboration titled Nail Us and the latter, a solo effort; Polisz This.  One of my more preferred tracks would have to be “Forest” on the Nail Us myspace page which is the media file below which you can listen to.  With a bit of a Soul Sonic Force and Perfect Beats era feels mixed with some edgier synth sounds, this track could stand to be a dance floor mover played to the right crowd.  A few tracks seem a bit more dark and esoteric for my tastes, but when you have a group of two Polish girls called ‘Nail Us’ it’s hard to go wrong.  Any upcoming shows for the Northern Brooklynites ladies?

Yesterday was madness here in the Wick!  It was the Puerto Rican Day Parade, the second Sunday in June every year.  With all the car horns and air horns blaring, BBQ’s grilling and flags-a-flying, i found my hips swaying in Salsa like fashion every time a whip rolled by with the system blasting!  Check some of the images from the parade at over at the Times.

We got this insane rambling of a comment last night, and we felt that it was only right to share it with the world.  I don’t know if any other bloggers have seen this, or if the Bushwick Social Club just has a way of attracting the crazies.  Before you go any farther reading, this please understand a few things:

1. We didn’t write this, it was left as a post on our site
2. It is insane and very offensive
3. Don’t click any links, I have not personally clicked any of them, and I’m guessing they are not safe.

Seriously, it’s not a clever play on the name “Bushwick.”  The festival is literally called Bushwhack!  The Bushwhack Series is a week long theater festival fostering art and culture in Bushwick and it starts today!  And because it’s art an art production in Bushwick, they are asking for donations.  We’re far from Broadway here people.  No TKTS here!  If you feel so inclined to let the moths out of your wallet and support the cause click on the image below… but we here at the BSC would like you to first consider… well…  we’d like a new digital camera.  Maybe one with those video recording capabilities.   Perhaps a flat screen TV while we’re at it.  We’re not really set up for that sort of thing with Paypal or anything like that, but it’s just a thought… anyone?  Anyone? … that’s what we figured, but worth a shot.
