I found this today on Time Magazine Online. Really great pictures of Bushwick and Bed-Stuy by Serbian born photographer Boogie. Visit Time to see this photo essay and hear about Boogie’s photography in his own words.
Oh yeah, and the music to the slideshow is Dr. Octagon.

With the upswing of gentrification in Bushwick, this image portfolio of couture weaponry combining the gully with the bougie seemed fitting. Aside from serving as an appropriate artistic representation of Bushwick’s current social mix, these pictures were taken far away from Bushwick at an art installation in LA over the past weekend featuring Peter Gronquist’s opening of “The Revolution Will Be Fabulous.”
Images and info derived from Gallery 1988.

So, one of the downsides of living in Bushwick is that apartments are not exactly as nice as the new condo’s going up in East Williamsburg. Our landlord is currently renovating apartments in our building as tenants move out. Right now, they are working on the place above us.
It all started off as annoying banging and hammering coming through the roof. Then, our bathroom ceiling collapsed. Then, our bathroom ceiling collapsed again. And now, once again, our bathroom ceiling has collapsed.
This time, unlike the others, a 6 foot piece of the building’s sewage pipe (you know, the one that carries all the waste water from all the apartments above us in the building) came with it. Good times.
So now our bathroom, for the 3rd time this month has become a construction project. This is rather disruptive to my home environment. Also, since I work from home, it’s been a difficult month.
Does anyone know anything about the legal implications of this situation. I don’t feel right giving my landlord a full check for the month of April. I have a simple rule in life: No roof, no rent. Seriously, if anyone has any advice, let me know.

Twin Peaks - Dance of the Dream Man:

This is truly beautiful. I’ve have been a part of the cult of Twin Peaks for a few years now. I’ve done the whole deal; I’ve seen David Lynch speak, I’ve taken a pilgrimage to North Bend, WA, I even go into spontaneous Twin Peaks rants whenever I watch Sex and the City with my girlfriend.
As a Twin Peaker, I have noticed that it is hard to find people who share the same love and infatuation for, what can only be described as, the best series in TV history. Now that problem is solved. Thank you Northeast Kingdom.
Enjoy these pictures from North Bend:
